Jim Wayne began cutting hair as a teenager because it was a good way to meet girls and enjoyed making them feel special. Jim's talent landed him at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in San Francisco for special training. By the age of 19, Wayne was transferred to the coveted Los Angeles location of Vidal Sassoon Academy where he has an apprentice with to some of the nations top stylists while honing his own craft. It was not long before Vidal Sassoon, himself noticed that Jim Wayne also had a flair for the business side of hairdressing. Sassoon subsequently offered Wayne a job before he had even finished his studies.
By twenty-two, Wayne was not only teaching the world-renowned techniques, but he was also running Sassoon schools of America. During this time, Wayne over saw all management aspects including staffing and directing of the schools, which was comprised of six locations in the united states and eight hundred staff and students. By twenty-three, Wayne was overseeing construction of the new school in Santa Monica, CA. Wayne also revamped the academies curriculum, which is still implemented today. In 1988, Wayne took over management of the Rodeo Drive salon, in addition to supervising the American division of Vidal Sassoon. Jim Wayne also worked closely with chemists in the development of two product lines-Sassoon's Gray Line and Pro Line-both of which are currently sold on the market. After fourteen years of contributing to the Vidal Sassoon academy and hair salons, Wayne decided it was time to express his own vision.

Debi Dumas
A member of the Jim Wayne Salon since 1994, Debi currently heads the color department. She received extensive training from the Vidal Sassoon Academy, Redken, Wella, and LOreal. She was named top colorist in Los Angeles by Allure magazine, in 2003, in their Best of issue.
"I am constantly working with over processed hair", says Debi. "My clientele demands the latest look in fashion, and my goal is to give them that while leaving their hair in the best possible condition."
Debi is known for her high couture coloring, which she tailors to meet the needs of the individual. "My clients get stopped on the streets or in restaurants. They stand out in a crowd for having amazing hair, no matter what color we decide on. I prefer making people look beautiful by enhancing what nature has given them."
Debi has been featured in makeover segments for the Dr. Phil Show, E!s Fashion Emergency, Blind Date, Discoverys Plastic Surgery Before and After, and the Style Networks How Do I Look?. Homer
A Chicago native spent six years at both the Vidal Sassoon academy and hair salon in Chicago and Los Angeles where he remained until he left and joined the Jim Wayne salon in 1997. Homer believes the key to his clients happiness lies within his inimitable ability to tap into and encourage the expression of each clients individuality. Im not afraid to be an individual and Im not shy about helping my clients express their uniqueness. I have a very diverse clientele and get along with everybody.
While homer considers hair cutting his career, he gains visual and artistic inspiration from painting and as a dancer at some of Los Angeles hottest alternative clubs. Its a way to stay in tune with whats going on in the scene. Its a great outlet. In that way, my day and nightlife feed off each other creatively, explains homer. Homer has been involved in several commercials for Vidal Sassoon, including one in Beijing and in Thailand.
Tomo brings a fresh unique style and skill to the Jim Wayne Salon. "Success and knowledge is achieved by overcoming hardship, through self-discipline, and through personal striving for a perfection that one knows is not possible but remains a worthy goal", say's Tomo. Both Tomo's attitude and dexterity have contributed to his success. Tomo was first introduced to the beauty industry at his aunt's infamous "Venus" salon in Ehime, Japan. "We are the best at what we do. We excel at the art of listening", says Tomo's aunt. He was taught traditional eastern techniques inured to change hair color and texture. Despite success and growth in his native country Tomo decided to move to America in order to explore how to cut hair. After getting his cosmetology license Tomo began looking for a salon that would provide him with training to further his artistic approach to cutting. After interviewing at several Beverly Hills salons, Tomo was introduced to Jim Wayne. From that point on Jim Wayne would mentor and help cultivate Tomo's cutting technique. Similar to Wayne, he creates styles for his clients that make them feel strong, desirable, and beautiful but still comfortable in their daily lives.
For over twenty years in the beauty industry wolf has shared innovative and time saving techniques with fellow colleague. His body of work includes trend setting plat form artist work, developed with some of the finest European hair color companies in the world.
Wolf's career began at the Vidal Sassoon in New York City. From there, he joined the eclipse salon where he acted as the educational director of hair color. During the Cosmo gig hair revolution in the eighties, wolf joined the ground breaking bumble& bumble salon of New York City. During this interlude his talents were introduced to the top modeling agencies: Wilhelmina, zolie, and elite. With a desire to embrace the fast changing industry, wolf reunited his old colleagues to open the legendary chameleon salon and tanning center in the heart of Manhattan. As manhattans Chelsea district began its resurgence, wolf caught the attention of local Chelsea photographers and artist. Within a short time wolf's innovative styles began to grow beyond the hair industry and into international publications, including vogue, Harpers bazaar, glamour, and mademoiselle. Wolf's recognition as one of the finest hair colorists soon gained him work in soaps, sitcoms, prime time dramas, television commercials, talk shows, award ceremonies, and feature films.
Wolf relocated to Los Angeles in 1990 where he immediately began to collaborate with the prestigious Beverly Hills salons. He currently works at the Jim Wayne Salon, where he specializes in extensions, hair straitening, and color. You can see his work on television shows like fox's fast lane, Seinfeld, and the smash hit the O.C., in addition to feature films such as Erin Brocovich, Mulholland Drive, the Lord of the rings, and moon struck. He has worked with many well known celebrities through out his career, including Peter Facinenelli, Rita Monreno, Faye Dunaway, Ron Silver, Trisha Yearwood, Sean Bean, Gretchen Mol, Melinda Clark, and Misha Barton.
